Adaptation of the Epicurious recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 c white onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 lbs mushrooms
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp parsley
- pinch of black pepper
Hardware
- chef’s knife
- 12” skillet
- wooden slotted spatula
Instructions
- Mis en place
- Dice white onion
- Mince garlic cloves
- Remove dried stem ends and clean mushrooms as needed
- Finely chop mushroom
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat
- Add in onions and cook until translucent- 2-3 minutes
- Add in garlic and cook for another 2 minutes
- Add in mushrooms and salt. Cook at medium until mushrooms start to release liquid.
- Add in parsley and black pepper.
- Raise temp to medium-high then saute until liquid has evaporated.
